The Surgery Director will assist in the overall planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling of all unit activities including nursing care, interdepartmental relationships, as well as patient care and physician relations with the departmental activities. The Surgery Director will proactively participate in processes to guide patient care in the most efficient, productive, cost-effective manner possible. Is also responsible for the management of staff, meeting fiscal requirements, and compliance with accrediting body guidelines along with Federal and State regulations.
Education & Experience:
· Graduate of accredited nursing school
· Three years of surgical nursing experience preferred.
Certifications and Licensure:
· Maintain current Illinois RN Licensure
· Associate Degree in Nursing required.
· Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
· CPR, ACLS and PALS certification required or willing to obtain.
· CNOR preferred, or willing to obtain.
· Additional certifications may be required.
